Technical questions
General and technical questions about using Splash PRO EX.
Requirements to combine Intel® Quick Sync Video with PCI-E graphics card harware accelerated video decoding:
- Intel Sandy Bridge CPU with Intel Quick Sync Video technology support.
- Additional high performance PCI-E graphics card .
- A monitor with two video inputs or two monitors.
- Two cables to connect 2 graphics cards with monitor.
- Latest version of Splash PRO EX and graphics drivers.
How to combine Intel® Quick Sync with PCI-E graphics card hardware accelerated video decoding?
- Make sure that you have correct BIOS configuration. Set Initiate Graphic Adapter to "PEG/iGPU" and enable iGPU Multi-Monitor feature.
- Connect both Intel® HD Graphics and PCI-E graphics card to your monitor(s).
- Your current main display must be connected to PCI-E graphics card, Intel® HD Graphics connected as an extended desktop.
- Run Splash PRO EX, open Settings/Export and enable hardware acceleration for video decoding and hardware acceleration with Intel® Quick Sync Video for video encoding.
If you experience performance problems with video playback during exporting please try the following:
- 1) Open Splash Settings and enable "Use hardware acceleration" in Video tab, open Export tab and disable all hardware accelerations.
- 2) If you still experience performance problems open Playback Options panel and disable all Picture² options.
- 3) If you still experience performance problems you must stop a video playback during exporting process.
Capture frame function is not available with Motion² enabled. Please disable Motion².
On Windows XP capture frame is not available with hardware acceleration enabled. Make sure both Motion² and hardware acceleration are disabled.
Please make sure that Best Quality option is enabled in Playback Options window.
Best Quality setting cannot be changed during video playback. Stop playback to change Best Quality setting.
Product activation
Activation of Splash PRO EX and Splash PRO EX UPGRADE version.
Open About window and Activate tab.

Fill "License for" and "Splash PRO EX serial number" and click Activate button.
1) Open About window and Activate tab.

2) Make sure that "Splash PRO EX UPGRADE" Activation type is selected.
3) Fill "License for", "Splash PRO serial number" and "Splash PRO EX serial number" and click Activate button.
* Splash PRO EX limited time offer is valid until major functionality of "advanced view" is available.
