I tested it with Powerdvd. No tearing, weird pixels, or anything else odd. I forgot how horrible the GUI is on it though, pain to navigate and use. Guess it is a codec issue , I'll be waiting for when splash fixes this
I'm pretty sure this isn't just for 480p... Its something with the codecs because the tearing occurs on higher res also. If you read more you'd noticed that I wasn't going to buy an nvidea card...
So Mirillis can fix it :D I think I have Cyberlink somewhere in my library of CDs, I'll give it a try, thanks for mentioning. I don't think they offer the video enhancements that mirillis has though. Is there any way to use Cyberlinks decoder with WMP? I mainly use that along with the KLite codec pa...
*sigh* guess its an ati problem. I'm using the latest 10.8 drivers too. I never bought any of their cards before the 5000 series. They have horrible drivers, each update gives more problems XD. I'm aware that the video is High@L5.1. Thats why I wanted to see if its just my card that has a screw loos...
It depends on the video codec as MKV is just a container. If you play the came file in MPC in DXVA mode, the same artifact will occur ;) They do indeed. Hmm might be a problem with my ati card then. can any1 try to play this file http://www.filesonic.com/en/file/11932245/Suzumiya_Haruhi_no_Yuuutsu_...
Joco1114 while ati drivers are generally crap, it doesn't necessarily "must" be that. I don't want to get a jet engine for directx 11 :P Its only on selected mkv so I'm guessing its a codec issue. I can play certain mkvs just fine. Another interesting thing I've noticed is that the GPU sign doesn't ...
Hi, I'm giving your splash player a try and it seems that on some .mkvs whenever I turn on GPU acceration the image stutters, pixelates and flashes green.
