SmartSeek is automaticly disabled when playing from optical discs. You can try to copy the file to HDD.

nop :/, we use max possible, in fact it wouldn't help much, because bitrate from camcorder is usually constant, so decoding complexity is constant and the buffers will end sooner or later.

We decided to reset Audio Boost every time application starts, because it is needed only in quiet encoded files.
It can be harmfull, when you open a file by double click and it plays at 500% volume.
