mediacenter remote

Thu Aug 11, 2011 11:12 pm

Hi

I'm testing the latest version of splashpro, and i love it, the only thing that is stopping from buying is that i am unable to control it with my mediacenter remote
I'm using a Fractal Design Shape HTPC Remote Control http://www.quietpc.com/gb-en-gbp/produc ... /fd-remote
I know the remote simulates keyboard shortcuts in order to control, i can use other players like mediacenter classic etc.
Hope you can help
Thanks
Paul

I've got the same remote and can't get it to operate with Splash Pro either.

On my HTPC with iMon Remote all I can do is Stop and Pause.
Has anyone info on how to set up remotes to work properly with Splash Pro please ?

i've got a hauppauge remote on the way this week so i'll test with that as well.
I really want to give these guys my money, i've had it setup as external player with mymovies and it works fantastic, but without a working remote the WAF is zero, so i can't justify dropping the cash.

Cheers

Same Problem here. I have an HP HDX18 1180CA Media/Gaming Laptop which I connect to the big screen via HDMI. This laptop comes with the HP Media Center Remote and I can only Play/Pause and Stop. No Rewind/Forward, nothing else works.

There are some programs that let you define hotkeys.

Thanks, i've tried several, intelliremote does'nt support my remote, event ghost, i'm having difficulty setting up. I should be integrated into the player, i want as little software installed on my htpc as possible.

Event Ghost should work, but it's beyond me to get it set up.
There doesn't seem to be a sensible and easy to follow instructions anywhere, lots written about how good it is and instructions that are supposed to show how to get it to work, but I can't follow them !
Anyone here got a 'how to' for it please ?

Just tested out with a new hauppauge mce remote, and all works fine.
In summery if your using a remote that simulates keystrokes rather than a full fledged MCE remote then you may well have problems.
