Alt+F4

Thu Aug 19, 2010 8:01 am

Interesting experience:
I have an HTPC with a remote controller. I can use all functionality of Splash Pro with remote: Play, Pause, FForward, Backward, Info, Full Screen, etc. But sometimes (not always) the Alt+F4 (Close) function is not working. I tried to press on keyboard, on the remote, but not working. I have to click on the screen (playing area of Splash Pro) and the function will working again, I can close the player.
It seems the SPro "forget" this hotkey while playing a long file. With other player has no similar problem.

Can anyone confirm this problem?

Still waiting for the confirmation... I realized, the problem appears only in full screen mode. Full screen + AltF4 = not always working.

Hi Joco1114,

unfortunately I can not confirm the issue.
The only scenario I found when Alt+F4 doesn't work in full screen is when I change the focused window with Alt+Tab but still see the fullscreen video. Then I press Alt+F4 and it seems nothing happens, but other window closed in fact.
Are you sure there is no other task in your system (eg. anti vir) that could pop up a window with some message, but you dont see it because you have full screen video? In this case you may be focused on other window than splash.

regards,

Other keys are working, for example if I switch off the fullscreen mode, I CAN use Alt+F4. No other program to steal the focus.

Alt+F4 problem is exists in v1.2. I have to restore the previous state from full screen, then I can close it.
