It can't be enabled on Tri-Core systems

There are some Qxxx CPU's that have 4 core 4 threads and more i5 CPU's with 2 cores and 4 threads. Some faster dual core's exceed older native quads. Please enable this feature for all users. And add some minimum CPU requirements for 'Ultimate 1080'. Like i said, older quads are slower than newer dual core's.

As far as i'm concerned, AMD sucks at performance per core but a tri-core should work with some OC.

EG: My i5 430M CPU can take OC up to 3.1 GHz on both cores and sintethic benchmarks shows it's too close to 720QM or better.

Btw, how much load will the new option take on the i7 quad? I'm sure desktop versions have no issue, i'm talking about notebook cpu's.

Some dual core CPU's can keep frequencies higher than any Quad. Will it lag so bad?

Also, why skip versions so fast? There are features like in-menu file associations and some more 'critical' stuff missing,.
Hyper Threading is different to actual 4 physical cores and higher clock frequency doesn't mean better performance (at least in the case of MCFI).

They must have chose 4 core for a reason. Maybe each core is interpolating the intermediate frames simultaneously to create one clean intermediate frame (similar to HDR photography).

I have Phenom II x3 720 Black Edition overclocked at 3.2 ghz per core.

On this version, on the former (as well as on the version 1.5.0), has not work hardware deinterlacing (ATI 5770 Win7 10.12 drivers H.264/AVC 1080i/60i source in mkv) - On the version Splash PRO 1.4.0 all was excellent.

I couldn't agree more, my laptop has an i7 720Q processor yet I still cant use the motion 1080p, I even tried looking to see if the Affinity was set to 4 cores on the program and sure it enough it is. I have turbo boost up to 2.8Ghz and a Nvidia Geforce 310M graphics card though, so maybe its not about how many cores you have if I cant have the option available.

Either way Im suprised I didnt have the option available..

It might be some CPU detection mechanism that activates the option if the CPU has some minimum TDP value or minimum frequency. Or it might support only the faster i7 CPU's.

Still, so few information in the included PDF manual. It's a shame.

anybody compare v1.6 on AMD 4-core and 6-core? will 6-core show any improvement over 4-core (same clock)?

I found this thread some time ago relating to something called 'core parking' in Win7. http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=186 ... print=true. It seems to have an ill effect on occasions with some software, so it might enhance performance who knows.
