Will Splash TV support streaming (from a service)?
(CAM, DVB-T receivers on a desktop (or SheevaPlug), streaming to laptops)
- UPnP
- DLNA

CAM ? (PayTV)

Web interface for EPG ?
to add/view recordings from Laptop, Cellphone (remotly), (& remote control of a HTPC)

Today I use DVBViewer for unicast streaming/viewing/recording on my local network,
but it does not support HW acc (it does support multiple DVB receivers, and CAM).

I do love the low CPU utilization of Splash lite !

SheevaPlug as a TV server ? (Splash TV as Frontend's):

Hi arnulf,

Streaming is considered for Splash products.
We do not plan to support CAM in first version of Splash TV.

Web interface for EPG for remote reservations/recordings is included in our plans for Splash TV.
However it is not defined yet if it will be included in first version of Splash TV.

We will publish more details as we move towards development of Splash TV.
At the moment we are still focused on Splash PRO.

Hi, why is there no DVB-C support? Or is that the same as the abovementioned CAM?

Millions of PC users are still watching analogue tv through various tuner-cards. Software, whether by the manufacturers of such cards or by third parties, still lacks quite a few things. I just believe that if analogue tv-watching software is coded by Mirillis Team, it would excell the way Splash-Lite is doing now.

Hi, we are going to support terrestrial tv standards (DVB-T + ATSC-T) in first versions of SPlash TV.
Cable and satellite tv standards are planned for the future.

Hi, we are sorry but we do not plan to support analogue tv in first version of Splash TV.
It will support digital terrestrial tv. Adding analogue will be considered after Splash TV release.

Hi jackdp and welcome to forum :)
We follow 3D technologies, all we can say is that our plans include support for 3D Video, realtime 2D to 3D video conversion and GUI modifications for 3D ready displays.

Hello, I just stumbled onto Splash last night and I already LOVE it. I was using Media Player Classic for everything but it just seems so ancient comparted to this. Anyway I was wondering the only version I see is the Lite. Is this the only one still only available? I don't see a way to get the Pro, or HD or TV versions yet.

Anyway when using the LITE, when I click on Watch TV the player automatically crashes. Every single time. I have in my computer a "Hauppauge WINTV-HVR-2250 Dual TV Tuner/Encoder Media Center Kit" which is pretty high end common TV Tuner card. Is it supposed to crash since 'TV' it's not ready yet?

System Specs:
Vista 64-bit Business
Intel E8400
8GB RAM
TB of HD Space
Nvidia 8800GT

I live in NY.
Thanks and please keep up the great work. This player is a huge relief and a breath of fresh air to MPC.
