Fic Decoder question

Sat Jul 07, 2012 12:19 pm

So... i posted a question in the topic "FIC Decoder DirectShow - BETA!" but no one answered me... Maybe someone will be able to answer in here.

All i want to be able to do is edit the videos that i record with Action! (like cut some parts of the video) the problem is that i have to export the .fic to a video format, and then edit with a editing software.

Every body is saying that .fic files will be abble to open in programs with DirectShow...
Im not an expert in softwars, so, can anyone say a list of softwares that use DirectShow?
Is there any DirectShow Software able to Open .FIC files and edit them?

Thanks

You could always start with Virtualdub - http://www.virtualdub.org/
It only exports to AVI, but can do pretty much everything - and it's free.

Thanks for the Answer...

But, when i put the FIC file in VirtualDubMod 1.5.10.2 tells me the next error:
"Cannot detect file type of "C:\Users\Julian\Videos\Action!\Desktop07-07-2012 05-55-47 p.m..fic".
So any idea what is the problem?

Sorry, I forgot that you also needed the Directshow input driver plugin - http://www.virtualdub.org/beta/DShowInp ... r-0.93.zip
Copy DShowInputDriver.vdplugin to the Plugins32 folder, and you should be good to go. :)

Create the Plugins32 folder yourself and copy the file there. :)

Please try using the latest experimental Virtualdub:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/virtual ... p/download
Copy file to folder again, etc.
If that does not work, then I'm completely out of ideas.

Indeed it does:

Even an older version of Virtualdub as you can see, so I do not think the version matters.
But I must admit to having quite a few extras installed. And thinking about it, you might just need ffdshow:
http://ffdshow-tryout.sourceforge.net/
Try if you feel like it. :D
